Hi Teresa and Derek! Looks like you are having an amazing trip. And yes, the weather in Canada is brutal, good thing you are missing it (for the moment anyway). Just thought I'd say "hi". Tasted any good ice cream along the way?
Hi Guys this is Wendy, just wishing I had packed up and followed you, the places you have been are amazing. Will see you back in Mortlach when it gets warmer, then we will see your pics Wendy
I am living on the road with my wife, daughter, five cats and one dog full-time in a 21 foot travel trailer on a budget of $600.00/month (It is a tight budget but at least we do not have high overhead). We needed a minimum of $2000.00/month to live for the winter in Keremeos, BC, where we were renting a home up until November 15, 2010. We made a decision to live the colder months down south (5-6 months) boon docking, which means no rent, no heating bills, and solar energy so no electrical bills. We are living very minimalist compared to the majority of snowbirds down here and we don't own a home so we will live in our trailer for 4-5 months in various location in southern BC during the warmer months. We are self-employed under my wife's company name Teresa Wood Designs so we are not tied down by location. We have owned several homes over the years and we could not travel as much as we wanted to because of having a mortgage, so here begins our journey to the Southwestern deserts of the US. This blog is a place for me to...ramble... about our life and travels.
